About GDA/USA

Lasting change for underserved communities

Bringing hope and sustainable development to rural communities in Liberia, West Africa.

Our mission

Empowering communities to thrive

Gblor Development Association (GDA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2002 with a mission to transform rural communities in Liberia through sustainable development initiatives. As GDA/USA, we have been at the forefront of community development and empowerment in rural Liberia — creating lasting change through education, economic development, healthcare and social programs.

Over the years, we have expanded our reach to multiple communities in Nimba County, partnering with local organizations, government agencies and volunteers to address the most pressing needs. Our work spans safe drinking water, mobile healthcare, housing assistance, education and skills training, agriculture support and digital literacy.

Our approach is holistic, focusing on both immediate needs and long-term solutions. We empower individuals and communities to become self-sufficient and resilient, directly serving 2,500 people across rural towns and villages.
