GDA 16th Annual Convention

"Together We Restore Hope"

The Gblor Development Association held its 16th Annual Convention from August 21–23, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, bringing together members, families, leaders, elders, friends and supporters of Gblor for a weekend of unity, fellowship, reflection, celebration and commitment to the continued development of our community.

Why we gather

The convention strengthens the bond between our community at home and the Gblor family throughout the diaspora. It is a time to review our work, discuss the needs of our people, share ideas, recognize those who have served, and preserve and celebrate our culture across generations.

The 2026 focus

This year centered on unity, service, community development and hope. Members reflected on humanitarian assistance, healthcare support, the donation of wheelchairs to JFD Hospital in Tappita and the Gblor Dealah Clinic, and highlighted the Gblor library project, including the efforts of GDA member and son of Gblor Emmanuel Duodeh.

Our convention may be over, but our work continues.
